I don't post nearly that many, ACfan. What happened was that most of us on here used to be on another board which for certain reasons we had to leave. (No need to go into that now). This was a difficult thing to do as there were many who had been with the previous board since the beginning and felt sad at leaving behind the "body of work" and numerous "interesting" threads (now mostly inaccessible) that we had created, not to mention our quite large post counts. So our esteemed administrator took the time and trouble to credit all of us with the number of posts we had already accrued before moving here in February 07. Hence it looks as if I've posted nearly 12,000 posts in 6 months, which I certainly haven't done. The same applies to several other frequent posters.

As it is, you might think I don't have a life, but it's not quite as bad as it looks.

The Indians are going home no matter what, a whitewash or not

Funny that it's all the bowlers that are good at it. Must come from spending all those hours aiming at the stumps.

Interesting that Harmison is the best at darts. Perhaps we can see a future career for him after cricket.

Thats a good one.. I love darts but I am only good at the game "bullseye" on miniclip. In real life I am as bad as Alistair. Atleast Harmi has a future after cricket.

Yes but only if Frimley Green was relocated to Ashington!

Rumour is Phil "The Power" Taylor can bowl a mean cricket ball too.

He has a very dodgy action though.

HELLO!

Just a quick trivial comment before the serious business begins tomorrow...I hate his 'beard', well, I think it qualifies as a beard (where's Joe Diddly when you need him!?).

Notice the time the article was written. At that time I would have thought he would be fast asleep. So he didn't know Tremlett was playing and he's in the team. Maybe the bowlers only found out in the morning of the match.

The article appeared in this morning's paper (I think it was today) and would have been ghosted by somebody. The interview probably took place sometime yesterday. It looks as if he thinks Broad is playing but the wording is quite careful - list of Broad's good points then "It's important that we play to the strengths of the bowlers that will be playing for us at Lord's". - ("whoever they may be").

I think when it comes down to it there really had been no advance selection - apart from CMJ knowing about Tremlett? Strange...

NB sorry to say this on the Cook thread but I rarely read his column properly as it is the usual anodyne stuff.
