Not surprised though. The way he bats he's always bound to get stick off of the crowd.

We've got a great angryman-off coming up between him and Broad and I think Trotty's gonna win.

My favourite "Trotty" was a very, very loud bellow of "****" as he was half way to the pavilion after being dismissed in a CC match which nearly finished off half the membership.

Stewards at Edg still scatter and we all go quiet when hes out - all pretending not to be listening hard for whatever obscenities he comes out with once back in the sanctity of the dressing room.

Have the NOTW run out of match fixing stories?
Presumably because the person who had this altercation with Trott has only belatedly thought to make some money out of it by selling the story to the NOTW. How else would the paper know about it?

From any of the large number of other fans who heard him?

Likewise with them - perhaps nobody thought of selling the story or a story until after the NotW published the spot fixing allegations.

Or from the ECB investigation they're reporting on in the actual article.

Are the NOTW going to pay money for this type of thing? If so, we could all do it.

Spectators who have a go at players then whinge when they get some back are contemptible. I can quite believe Trott had a go back. But I cant beleive it was in reaction to 'Trott, well batted yesterday. Kept me entertained all day'!" Reckon thats been watered down a bit.

I'm looking forward to seeing how he shapes up this winter.
He's maintaining it at the moment! He's ranked #10 in Tests (Batting) by the ICC, prior to this match.

Who'd have thought the bloke who qualified for England played 2 T20 internationals would be this good at test cricket whilst I highly thought of young Essex boy has gone backwards!
