I am incredibly uncomfortable with how brilliantly we have played since tea. It will feel like a relief when we lose a wicket to a crap shot and then lose three to the new ball.

We have never lost at Perth when we have scored 300 first innings.

Well the national anthem is a tad dull..but many of their songs are great fun..actually watch some highlights of this on youtube rather than watching the cricket of late..

One of those occasions was when Jack Richards most unexpectedly made a century....and then even more amazingly dropped out of all f-c cricket within two years.

In fact, four of the five highest Test scores by a 'keeper visiting Australia have been made at Perth. No pressure, Jonny.

Ah, I see that I've triggered the circle-jerking reactionaries on here.

I'm not bothered about the anthem. Always thought we could choose something a bit more lively, but GSTQ is what we've got. As Rob says it's the dull, repetitive chanting as a "joke" that's been repeated on each Ashes tour for a generation or two. At least come up with a new set of songs.

Have to say there is very little in this pitch at the moment. Makes me wonder what might have happened if we'd chosen to bat first at Adelaide.

Yeah, as a prolific attender of live sport, I have an admiration for the BA. Just sometimes, though, listening to the same old chants for hours on end can spoil a fellow's day.

Although, these may not actually emanate from the Official Barmy Army©...the term tends to cover anyone who travels to watch England in a replica shirt.

No doubt true...maybe good from afar or by downing the sherbet and joining them.

By far the most fluent he’s looked in his test career and much better at punishing bad balls than before when he’s mainly just been gutsy and solid. Really important knock as well.

Lol, and you, pet etc never do the same. You all seem convinced I'm a commie.

Anyway, can we get our first ton of the tour?

Cracking tune and there is a whole new generation of whinging Ozzies that haven't been wound up by it every tour.

God save her majesty - and Dawid Malan.
