Is it right that AB takes a break (essentially to make room for his busy T20 schedule), and then comes straight back in as captain? What’s Dean Elgar done to upset the management?

Shades of Greg Chappell taking rests in the Autumn of his career then returning as Aussie skipper. To be fair, they were genuine rests from cricket.

They knew what they were doing making this the first 4 day test. Surprised if it makes it into the 4th day so they can claim it was a sucsess.

Cheers MF.

Do they have to bowl 110 overs a day?

Turned out they didn't get close to either, bowled out for 68!!

Better in the follow on though, 40-0 (although an opener has retired hurt).

There were three things wrong with calling this a test match....

1. It was a day/night mstch
2. It was scheduled for 4 days
3. Zimbabwe were playing

Shades of the two day test we played against the Windies in their prime on a nightmare strip in Perth.
