Anderson and Botham now level for most international wickets taken in all forms of the game by an England bowler.

India v England Nagpur 13-17 Dec 2012

M.S. Dhoni's 99 from 246 balls is the longest innings he has played in terms of balls faced, beating the 187 he faced scoring 132* v S.A. at Kolkata in 2010.

The minutes batted are not currently available but he was out there the best part of 3 sessions, so it#s safe to say it will be the most minutes as well.

Even better would be to get two wickets and that would be his 50 for 2012.

Alastair Cook's match strike rate of 11.57 is the lowest of a batsman in Tests in India (minimum 100 balls)

Shame is his magnificent contribution to this being the slowest test for 10 years in terms of run rate (where at least 500 runs scored) wont be fully recognised. But thats the team player in him I suppose

An obscure record perhaps, but my first cricketing memories go back to 1990 and Gooch scoring 333 against India.

With this series win, over the period since I have seen England win series home and away against all the test nations (bar Zimbabwe, but not sure they really count)

Not any longer, I suppose, but they were quite a competitive side when Andy Flower led their batting and Eddo Brandes their bowling with Neil Johnson, Heath Streak, Murray Goodwin, etc., but yeah, I get your point.

I think we've only toured there once back in the late 90s and drew a 2-test series 0-0, with the famous tied score draw match followed by a game with scoring rates that make the recent Nagpur test match look like a t20.

Precisely. Just quoting David LLoyd's infamous remark made at the time, when he was England coach.

Dale Steyn has just reached 300 test wickets in his 61st test. This is the third fastest to 300 wickets, alongside Marshall and Hadlee, trailing only DK Lillee (56 tests) and Murali (58).
