Get the right overseas player, and we could still be in the fight. Not sure who'd be best though....

My estimate for Yorks is 5th... but if Hoggy is fit and firing then it could be better than that.

Goughie is on SSN bemoaning the bad weather and the fact that they'll have nothing to do when the game is called off for the day as they are in the 'sticks'!
Apparently Bresnan's learning to play the guitar and he is not very good at it! |

There must be a topic to debate there somewhere.

We're not going to win any on the pitch either, at this rate! What has happened to our batting?!

I'm both happy and sad at Haqs appointment. I'm happy because he's a fine player on his day, but more importantly Younus must have had a big influence on his decision to come here which means he must be happy with the club and enjoying his time with Yorkshire.
On the downside Haq was a central figure in the despicable scenes at the Oval, which for me were unforgiveable. |

I see Rashid is doing his bit again to make a decent score with the bat. 76* at the moment.

83 not out now. I don't know if someone's had a word in his shell-like but his SR is improving rapidly. I hope he get's that elusive hundred soon, only the youngun's been wanting to go to the park since one o'clock and I've told him we're going nowhere until the saviour of English cricket either gets out or gets that magical first ton.
I do hope that doesn't put the 'mockers' on him! |

Not as if it matters now, we're out of the title race. Might want to watch our backs on the relegation battle though....

To replace Dizzy (who might be off on a camp, might not, don't really care) we've signed.....Imran Tahir, a 29 year old Pakistani Leg spinner.
Nope, no idea why either. He makes his debut at Scarborough

What was that Inzi said about keeping his hand in and hopefully impressing the Pak selectors...
"Any player who goes to play in the Indian league will not be considered for Pakistan selection again," said Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Ehsan Malik.' "We are a bit surprised at the situation that has developed today. But our stance will not change, nor do we have any intention of softening it. "Losing your players is a setback. But our policy is clear since the ICL is not recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) we do not recognise it as well." |

Sir Geoffrey again I think. He was convinced we needed another spinner for that crunch game at Hove in early September. This time, I think he's got it wrong.
