Good toss to lose ?

Has to favour England this weather - dank , drizzly etc. Ball will be hooping around a bit.

Can anyone explain why buttler is best placed to keep in limited overs while it is bairstow in tests. Since coming back into the one day side as specialist batsman YJB has been a revelation - anyone better in World in that period? Might he did the same in tests?

The Lord's Test is meant to be played at the end of June. Needless to say, the weather was sensational in London back then.

Ya mess with the rules, ya reap the rewards.

Rain in London YET AGAIN.

They shouldn’t hold test matches at Lord’s until they can sort out the weather.

Why is Cook having so much trouble with Ashwin? Allowing the bowler to dictate terms perhaps?

That will be intriguing to see what transpires in this one, especially if England bat first on what would be expected to be a really flat track, maybe with a bit of early life for the seamers.

I'm not going to the Oval -

R5L are still continuing coverage which means it's not downright awful.

I've seen heaps of cricket in London this season, all in glorious weather. I don't know what people are griping about.
