Ho! ho!

The dodgy Bradsman is now hidden away under my other ace purchase; the jacket signed by Showaddywaddy AND the Warwickshire team.

I no longer collect cricket memorabilia.

That is one hell of a purchase. Remind us of the cost again?

That's going to deprive the 4th volume of your memoirs of a really good chapter.

I still have most of their albums and singles (nothing of rarity value though).

Most of us followed them at school and we all wanted a teddy boy suit but the price of 35 was a lot of money then and very few could afford it. Of course there was one show off who had to have everything and he came to school in one of the suits. The teachers creamed over him and said he would be a success.

He works in a bookies now he's got off the glue.

I'll take it. I could do with getting divorced.

It's slightly over-rated, I'd say. Kim might be a better person to ask though.

You see, if you'd just write your memoirs we wouldn't make mistakes like that one. Was it more leaving them at the altar? Wasn't there some story about running away to America too?

Charles Sale in the Hate Mail today:

"Colourful ex-cricketer Dermot Reeve is mired in controversy in Australia over Sir Don Bradman autographs he has sold on eBay.

The Bradman Foundation's leading signature expert claims they are fakes but Reeve, who bought the autographs in the 1980s, is standing by his own certificate of authenticity."

Kim's got nothing to worry about

How do you tell if the certificate of authenticity are fake or not?

The times of India has an article comparing SRT to the Don and pointing out that in the SMH a poll did a comparison that resulted in many more voting for SRT than they did the Don. It hasn't been confirmed where the votes came from that resulted in this.

If longevity of a player's career counts into the reckoning, SRT has Bradman beat. Also, how many ODIs did Bradman play?

Fair point. Most of our idiots are football followers. A quick look at any of the football threads on the board would make that pretty obvious.
