Kent's first maximum point win since 1st June 2011.

The St Lawrence yesterday, lushly verdant in near relentless sunshine....oh my word.

Lotte Edwards gets a CBE out of the Queen's birthday honours. That's a dame in waiting.

Kent skittled by New Zealand A but at least they managed to get a game in.

Unfortunately looks as if Brendan Nash picked up an injury - absent hurt.

A minor quibble about Twitter here - the Kent Twitter feed constantly updates the scores, which anyone can get from cricinfo etc, but doesn't provide any news about the above, which is the sort of thing it'd be really handy for.

Let's hope that's the last time we see any Kiwis celebrating at the St Lawrence for a while.

On this season's Championship results it looks more like Northants are the new Leicestershire.

Lancs will be the new Leicstershire next season.

Buck and White opening the bowling, missing Chapple and Hogg.

Ha ha!

Kent have actually only won 1 more CC game than last year but the manner of the wins has been distinctly more impressive. Last term, two of the victories came after Kent had been second best for three days but then managed to chase down 400+. This year, all 4 wins saw Kent make the early running and take 20 wickets.

The cup run saw them punch way beyond their weight and they had a respectable T20.

Bring on The Aussies!! (Canterbury, 25-28 June 2015).

Invented the game so will never be truly irrelevant.

Sam Billings is joint winner of the Walter Lawrence Trophy for the season's fastest hundred (shared with Dan Christian of Middx). That's two years running for Kent, Darren Stevens winning the award outright last season.

Billings and Christian each attained their centuries from 46 balls. The winner in 1970, Geoffrey Boycott, made his from 222, the trophy then being awarded for the fastest ton in Tests.
