New Zealand v Australia
1st T20 today. NZ were put into bat and struggled at 19/3 before they recovered and finished their innings on 184/5 thanks to Devon Conway who was unlucky not to get his century finishing on 99 not out.
Decent total for Australia to chase. |

53 run win for NZ. Australia never really got going.

How much longer can Finch keep his place? His recent record in the franchises has been poor and there are surely players in better form who could fill that spot.

What a comeback win that was.
Thought we were gone early but Conway came to the rescue with Philiips to get us to a good total and then Boult, Southee and Sodhi ripped through them. Both Conway and Phillips are from South Africa, have to give our international scouts credit we are picking up better SA cricketers than England. |

Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips sound like a pair of country singers.
Finch should probably be retained as a specialist to play only against England.

to be fair he had scored 35+ in 10 of the 13 T20I games for the aussies before his duck against India and this knock, not sure dropping him on the basis of two low scores with so many decent T20I scores would be fair or sensible

Kyle Jamieson showing exactly why the IPL paid the big bucks for him.

Very entertaining game today with both teams scoring over 200, looked like NZ would win comfortably until Stoinis and Sams nearly pinched it.
Jamieson bowled poorly again so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets dropped for the 3rd game, likewise Finch for the Aussies who is in shocking form. |

Aussies cruising to victory today. Even Finch got some runs, although Maxwell was they key (70 off 30). Excellent day for Neesham, his 4 overs went for 60 and then gets a first baller!!

Although Agar has surely taken the MOTM Award with the daft figures of 6-30 (one drop too), he was seemingly either taking wickets or being clouted to the boundary.

An easy win to Australia in the end, we made Agar look like Vettori, he bowled well but he also got gifted some wickets from slogging late in the innings.
Finch finally found some form but he was lucky not to be given lbw for a duck in the first over, the ball was hitting leg but remained umpire's call. Australia also benefitted from batting first and the lack of a crowd, unfortunately the last 2 games will also be played without crowds due to the lockdown. |
