The Still Playing Thread
Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel are playing for Kandy Tuskers in the Lanka Premier League. I recall them turning out for India against England when we toured there in 2006. Neither really made it at the international level despite early promise and I'd assumed both were long retired.

How good does Qais Ahmad look by the way? Another 20 year old Afghan leg spinner with all the tricks.

Brad Hodge still turns out for Sandringham at grade level, age 45. Although now retired, it was pretty remarkable that Brad Hogg was still playing in the BBL as recently as 2018 as a 47 year old. Pretty decent longevity for a guy who debuted as a batsman for WA in 1993. Can't think of another sport where you can make it on one skill, and then still be playing it professionally 25 years later on the strength of a completely different skill. Funny game.

Darren Stevens, 44. His latest contract with Kent will have him playing first class cricket at 45.

In a post apocalyptic world, there will be radioactive snow, cockroaches and Darren Stevens taking 9-17 for Kent.
Against Durham probably. |

How good would he have been in the 2019 World Cup Final?
We'll see your Colin de Grandhomme and we'll raise you a Darren Stevens!! |

Back after his spot-fixing ban, Sreesanth got into the Kerala team and even managed to get a 5-wicket haul.

Nayan Doshi, 42, who last played for Surrey in 2008, but has since played in India, put himself up for auction at the IPL and The Hundred.
He plays club cricket for Brondesbury. |

I'm listening to Tim Wigmore's book about T20, where Doshi gets a few mentions. I'd rather forgotten about him, yet he was one of the first spin kings in the format.
