England all out for 96. Couldn't play the swinging ball. Whoops.

Cant say I'm a fan of womens cricket and just another loss making aspect of the game to fund but a lovely ground. 1500 there but I doubt whether many paid the 15 quid on the gate.

If they’ve got 1500 people there then I’d say that playing the game at Wormsley was a good decision in terms of choosing the correct ground to hold the number of spectators. Not sure about who pays who for the rights to hold / host the game at Wormsley. But the beauty of the ground may well tempt people to come along more than if the game was at another county HQ. As for the lack of paying customers, is this another of your scoops / unfounded opinions?!

Get rid of all age-group cricket, county cricket, 2nd team cricket, cricket training and nets practice, talking about cricket, public broadcasting of cricket... ?

India beat England by 6 wickets. Charlie Dagnall seemed determined to turn this into a great embarrassment for England, I thought he was exaggerating far too much from just one game.

India and SA playing a test match at the moment. Its the latter's first test in 7 years and only 5th since Apartheid ended. Only three of their players played in their previous match and, all in all, 11 players are making their debuts. India declared 400/6, SA 85/3 in response after day 2.

Will the media start going for the women like they would the men after two shocking displays?

Did they say the Aussie women were over the hill after the first game?

England had the Aussies 99/5 after losing the toss but they recovered a little and are now 210/8.

Was the women's Ashes running alongside the men's in the last series. I seem to remember it getting more coverage than it has this time around.

I am sure I read that this is the first women's test match to be covered ball by ball. 120 off 60 overs might make it the last!

I watched a passage of play this afternoon. I do relish a gritty rearguard action but the sight of half-volley after floaty half-volley being patted limply down the chain was just too gruelling. I've been planning to pop down to Canterbury tomorrow but am beginning to have second thoughts. Then again, if Australia gain a decent first innings lead, they may look to consolidate with brio.
