Excellent win for the girls. Well done. Always good to see the Aussies get beat.

Tammy Beaumont is now clearly bae. She's been in ridiculous form this tournament.

No DRS today. Seems Sky running a bucket shop operation in this tournament.

After a wobbly start, England have completed a convincing win over Wi to seal top place in the group and, theoretically, the least difficult semi.

A decent bowling and fielding effort by England to restrict South Africa to 218 in the first WC semi final. A slower Bristol wicket than that on which these teams shared 678 runs a fortnight ago and I reckon we could be in for a tight chase. If Sarah Taylor bats as well as she's kept today, England's task will be that much easier.
It's been good to watch and a welcome change from much of the 50 overs cricket I've seen of late....batsman having to work hard for their runs rather than frequently swatting good balls over the rope with impunity. |

Nail biting finish with England winning by two wickets with two balls left. The super over was very much on the cards but it didn't come to that.

An example of how a needless run out can change the nature of a match. England were cruising with Taylor in fine form before she got run out and precipitated a mini collapse. But that wily old campaigner Jenny Gunn played a shrewd and skilful knock to shepherd the side through to the Final....where they might stand a chance because my ticket hasn't turned up yet.

Tense. Well done to the girls for beating the Saffers. Jenny Gunn should talk to the guys about staying cool at the end.
Niekerk' s mid-innings team talk looked impressive. |

By all accounts she's a terrific leader and character. To think where South Africa were just a few years ago is a remarkable transformation and van Niekerk's a huge factor in that.

Thought England were finished when Brunt got out and they needed a run a ball, which was a lot faster than they'd been going.

Stunning innings from Harmanpreet Kaur! Thought we were going to end up with a sub-par score, at one point, but that was a blinder. Can our bowlers keep it together, though?

There was some filthy Aussie bowling but that was some innings from Kaur.
Clearly a team containing Lanning and Perry has more than just a chance but the momentum is with India. |
