It was a good finish to the game. Windies nearly snatched it with 27 off the 18th over but Ireland's bowlers held their nerve.

A good win for the Irish. I tend to think that fluke results in limited overs cricket are low scoring affairs, where the minnow stays within reach, rather than sustained high scorers. Stirling is the type of player who has that big innings in him, even if he his pretty erratic at international level.

The Windies scored 196/4 v SL in the first T20I today, winning by 25 runs. Doesn't tell the whole story as after the first power play SL were 56/5, Thomas taking 5/28 off his 3 overs. Thomas didn't bowl again as SL's 6th wicket partnership took them within needing 54 off 28, before the Windies wrapped up the match.

NZ have won two T20s against Pakistan. Today they cantered to a 9 wicket victory despite 76 year old Mohammad Hafeez finishing on 99*.

Watched some of the WI v SL T20 yesterday evening. Went to bed when SL were 100/4 in what seemed to be a dull game.
How wrong could I be? When WIs batted, Dananjaya takes a hat trick and then next over Pollard hits him for six sixes in an over. Last edited by Aidan11 : 4th March 2021 at 07:16. |

And that was all in the powerplay too with the W Indies finishing it on a ridiculous 98-4!!

For some bizarre reason I was actually watching that match. Don't think I'll ever see a hat-trick and six sixes in the same game again.

I wonder if they had a look at every cricket scorecard ever produced around the world whether the same bowler has ever done that?

Broad has taken hat-tricks but not in the same match as the six sixes. I don't know if it's happened in domestic one-day or T20 before but even that would surprise me... although you would expect as the general quality of cricket goes down, this kind of thing might be more likely... |

Quite the turn around in the second match, as is often the case.
Fidel Edwards still going
