I donít truly know how it woks, but they might be reluctant to, given the impact it would have on tourism. I went to games in 2007 and 2012 and several thousand fans go.

Parkinson seems now to have taken Stokes's place in the team for this match.

Curran and Leach taking some tap. In the latter's case a little more understandable as he's had such little cricket more recently.

I should imagine there are far more debilitating illnesses one can pick up in Sri Lanka than coronavirus. Much like in South Africa.

A stomach issue being one of the symptoms that seems to have nothing to do with CV. But you know, where there's smoke....

It was odd seeing the Australia v NZ match this morning with nobody in the crowd. The players were avoiding handshakes but then all sharing the same cricket ball which most likely had saliva all over it.

It said on Cricinfo that the England players wanted to get home. Strange they would want to leave largely CoV free Sri Lanka for plague ridden England.

Officially "Postponed" according to Cricinfo, potentially to be rescheduled for January 2021 ahead of the tour to India.

we have another game v n.z. in sydney on sunday with no crowd as well, unless it gets called off.

Just worry I guess. Though as you say, suspect they are now more likely to catch.

They might want to be closer to family, rather than worrying about their own health.

Apparently some England fans were still hoping to get their holiday in Sri Lanka this week, but the government has banned flights from the UK.

At least if flights are banned, they should get their money back (I would think).

I suspect one consequence of this is that Joe Denly has played his last test match. (Zak progress, Rory back etc). Interestingly I think his innings at Headingley influenced England's whole test match philosophy.
