So, should the selectors be thinking - Team Buttler did really well so let’s select a lot of their players plus Morgan??

Looked like team Buttler was the first XI minus Morgs and Stokes to be honest.

Let’s hope we’ve got somebody to play against, with two home players already having tested positive for COVID.

If these are the types of pitches we'll play on, seems little point having a second spinner. I'd go Bairstow, Roy, Malan, Morgan, Buttler, Stokes, CurranS, CurranT, Jordan, Archer, Rashid.

Given his performances in the IPL and his fantastic hitting here, Sam Curran should definitely have forced his way into the side. His left arm seam and Archer would make for a good new ball partnership too.

I would like to hope, good Sir, that if you were in charge of proceedings you would make sure to pick your best mates, irregardless of whether they are the best players available.

The Safas have barely played any cricket since March, they have had Covid in the camp and their own practice match was rained off.

A few played in the IPL with both Rabada and Nortje doing well. But really England come into this with a far better prep than the hosts.

You'd think de Kock would have to go big to prevent England chasing it down. Having said that, they knocked up 220 in Jan and we got there with 5 balls to spare!.

I'm a bit surprised the YJB and Buttler aren't in the opposite order. I also mentioned in the IPL if Buttler's opening he shouldn't be keeping with another similar keeping option(s) batting lower down the order.

Eoin also said they wanted another all rounder which is why Wood missed out. Not sure that's a great reason, I'd rather the reason was that they were rotating the quicks over the 6 games. We have Rashid batting at #11 it's not as though we're lacking bowlers who can hit the ball and Wood's not a rabbit in any case.

Lockdown doesn't appear to have been kind to Adil's hair line.

Looks like a belter of a pitch.

Tom Curran looked like a net bowler.

Although I am not against Ali having been dropped, given how ineffective heís been with the ball it looks to me that England are a spin bowling option short.
