The ICC should pass a law saying both teams have to bat on the same pitch.

NZ use to historically be a tough batting place but wasn’t that more movement through the air than off the pitch?

Nice performance by the Kiwi attack on that wicket.

Basin Reserve is an actual cricket rather than rugby ground isn't it? I assume they use proper pitches. Apparently it looked very green right up until the start of the match.

Good win for us.
Congrats to Kane Williamson on his 250 against a pussweak West Indies bowling attack. It would have been nice if Kane could have scored some runs against the Australian bowling attack last summer when it mattered. Blundell > Williamson |

Nicholls with a ton saving the day for NZ, was dropped half a dozen times but fought through.
Another good test at the Basin, always a good battle between bat and ball with good crowds there. |

Just watched the morning session ... It looks nice on the grassy bank, I wish I was there ... The West Indies gave away quite a few runs with short-pitched bowling towards the end ... and the dropped catches didn't help ...

Just switched on. Looks like the long handle has been used a few times.

Another dismal batting effort from the Windies, 124/8 at stumps with Blackwood the one shining light again.
As much as I like seeing NZ winning it's not good for cricket with the West Indies being so uncompetitive. |

This looks like being a rerun of the last test between them.

WIs following on and it doesn't look like this could last beyond today.

The Windies have shown more fight with the bat in the 2nd innings and have at least taken the match into a 4th day.
It will still be another comprehensive defeat though. |

Sad to see the Windies this noncompetitive against a mediocre Kiwi side. Barely a batsman you could call test standard. I'm not sure how England keep losing test matches/series against them.

Yes, you have to start wondering if it's not a little suspicious.
