About the same as SL, except the day / night game of course, thats a nice 9 am start time.

So looks like it will be on TV somewhere, annoying that its being left so late though.

I can live with paying for it, but might end up with a dodgy app after all.

There seems to be confusion that it will be shown on Disney+ which is incorrect. My understanding is that it will be on Disney Hotstar which is an Indian streaming service not available in UK. There may be some connection between DH and Star Sports which would explain why UK broadcasters are negotiating with them.

Good question, I'd have thought overseas rights would be sold off by the board but I don't know, you may be right. Either way I hope I don't have to pay for it! I guess BT wouldn't be so bad as I could get to watch footy games as well and they might put together a commentary team in a studio.

The BCCI sold all the rights to Indian matches to Star for a fantastic sum, so British broadcasters will have to go to them.

If fit, India will pick Ashwin and Jadeja in the XI, and both are decent bats, though Ashwin is more prone to throwing his wicket away. I don't see us going with 3 spinners on any of the pitches.

The bit re neither Bess or leach being close to the seamers is quite interesting g because that is what I thought. It made me wonder how archer and leach’s numbers stack up.

They are remarkably similar.

Leach 12 matches 44 wickets at 30.5 economy 2.94 and strike rate 62

Archer 11 matches 38 wickets at 31.1 economy of 2.95 and strike rate of 63

So incredibly you could not split them based on that. Obviously they have completely different roles in the side but we need to be careful saying spinners not close to pace men.

Not looking for a row. I am merely comparing the test records of two people who played pivotal roles in the ashes series and have played about the same number of tests.

My understanding is that the hotstar service is added to disney+ on Feb 23rd (3rd test time). So potentially the 3rd/4th tests could be on disney+.

India won't pick Jadeja because he's got a broken thumb and probably out of the entire series.
