It was Brad Hodge's catch from memory but I know what you mean. Too many prosaic names in Aust cricket make it difficult. Where are all the Zac's, Beau's & Kai's of our ocean sports?

What about those ghastly creamy-yellow ICC shirts the commentators wear? Obviously they were sent a job-lot one-size-fits-all consignment. On some commentators they look much too big and baggy.

Earlier today in the Sri Lanka innings.

Damien Fleming and Brian Waddell commentating. Fall of wicket, Dilshan's I think.

Fleming: "It's difficult for Sri Lanka now, two new men at the crease, and only recently too."

I wrestled with the logic of that sentence for quite a few minutes as I was stuck in a traffic jam.

Athers is the scariest one, I swear he is lounges on his chair so as to show off even more chest, I want to go do his buttons up! He's a commentator, not Johnny Depp!

Well yes I would hate to see Athers in Pirates of the Carribean rather than Johnny Depp. I think the Box Office might suffer a bit with Athers as top billing.

But what really annoys me at the moment is that one of the Indian commentators, either Manjrekar or Sivaramakrishnan, insist on calling Stephen Fleming - Stefan Fleming. Obviously they haven't figured out that that the ph isn't pronounced as f but as a v, despite Fleming having played international cricket for a good 10 years or so. Maybe he should just change his name to Steven to make it simpler for them.

If there's one thing worse than watching England perform like this - and a wicket falls as I speak - it's listening to the righteous indignation of Ian Botham who could have told us weeks ago how England should be batting etc. etc.

I've heard a scandalous rumour about everyones favourite commentator Mark Nicholas - but I'm not sure if it should be posted. Get chatting to some of the Sky Sports lads and you can find out all sorts.....
