That's what I thought but he made 940 runs at 47.00. I guess it was more as a batsman as his bowling was 12 wickets at 51.75.

Sachin should get cricketer of the year to **** everyone off again hopefully. That 146 vs SA deserves it alone.

If an Englishman doesn't win the test player of the year this year then when is one going to?

I'd say Cookie would be favourite for that award although after Jimmy's exploits in Australia and another good summer here then he might be in with a shout.

Mr Broad is a tad lucky to force himself into the test team of the year. Had Tremlett not missed tests this summer or SA actually played some he might have lost out to Morkel.

Kallis has only played 5 matches during the period but has the most hundreds after Cook who has played 12.
