By way of explanation...

I have arranged to receive all the ECB press releases for the time being so that I can post them here in their entirity so that we can discuss.

I think it's interesting to see them straight from the horse's mouth, as it were...

Excellent idea.

Much, much better dealing with primary sources, than relying on lazy, ignorant journalists (with some honourable exceptions like yourself) reporting the real issues.

You have a lot of influence for someone who no longer has ties with AOC. You're an imposter. You're not Jane at all are you. You're Scyld Berry.

Looking forward to that, I wonder if more people might start coming on here to receive such straight talking information, or will journalists start speculating on our comments to such statements?

Really? I doubt Scyld has quite as much fun watching Vaughan bat, for example.

The ecstasy and the agony Slogger...

(actually, Scyld Berry probably enjoys watching cricket more than most of the other journalists put together - which is why I rate him so highly)

Good for him. Were you there today? I recall that you're about to give it up.

Not there today, but I am hoping to get a place in the press box for The Oval. Trouble is, that there are so many Indian journalists over here it's hard to get in!

I don't know though! Has anyone ever seen AOC Jane and Scyld Berry in the press box at the same time?? Eh?

All this double-agent, cloak-and-dagger stuff can make a cricket fan's head spin!

Were there finger prints on the errant jellybean, or was the perp wearing gloves?? Maybe Zaheer planted the jellybean to implicate the close-in fieldsmen?

Or maybe it was Prior - he may have had his gob stuffed with them and coughed one up when he was sledging Khan. Didn't your mum ever tell you not to talk with your mouth full, Matt? You just have no class.

You make me feel really sad, putting it like that...

For international games it may well be, but I will be live from Lords for the FP Final, but on the Hampshire CCC website not here. If that goes well, then next summer I hope to be able to do more coverage of domestic games anyway.

That's not so bad then.
