Windies were 20/1 at half ten

Really, really interested as to how England respond. I think this game is now 50:50.
England always get in to this position a couple of times in every series, the on going problem of having 3 top order players who aren't batsmen (or bowlers) at test level. Hard to perm any 3 players from county cricket likely to succeed.

No need for daft shots - grind not counter attack required.

Stokes score seems to rise magically..he goes from a few to quite a lot almost unnoticed..

The wicket is doing a little, 250 would be ok, 300 par and over 350 a tough ask I'd guess. Try and bat as long as possible.

I know their batting is weak but to lose a wicket half an hour before play even begins....?

Haha, bit like that four Yorkshiremen sketch I was watching again the other day "I had to get up ten o'clock, half an hour before I went to bed..."

Great partnership from these two. The over rate is diabolical - I reckon we might lose as many as 10 overs.

To be fair, the critics have been getting on at them to play like the 1980s Windies.

Yet people want him in at 5.

Need Woakes to stay in - nothing daft.

Have you seen the players we currently have vying for 5? Personally I'd have Stokes at 5, but he's still a better batsman than 3 of the top order. Woakes is a better batsman than some of the top 5 as well.
