Who commissioned the report? Was it management consultants with a financial interest in change for the sake of change?
I can't remember that! You're probably right that it was someone with a financial interest in change for its own sake though.

This is a relatively new curmudgeonly side to you, previously exhibited only when Swann takes a wicket with another brilliant piece of bowling.

Yep - I like it too. The bits I use (ball by ball & scorecards on county games) seem to have the right info in the right places with good drill down and menu accessibility.

The design & colour scheme are pretty awful, but as long as the info's there I can't say I'm too bothered.

One thing that annoyed me the other day that is more laziness on my part, but the fact the menu is now across the top when you go into a series page you have the 2 menus on top of each other, if not careful can very easily click the wrong one

Just thought I'd point Cesar and Leon in the direction of the 'Kevin Pietersen Zone' in association with Citizen watches

The bad thing about the new format is accessing profiles of former players. there are numerous pages for each letter and no short cuts. It can take ages.

Click on Statistics, Players, and then type in the name of the player you want in the Search for Profiles box.

Or just type their name into the general search on the front page, which is what I've always done, on both the old and new sites.

Well as someone predicted, after a few weeks of the new Cricinfo I am finding lots of things that are improvements on the previous version. On the scorecard there is a little icon next to each batsman's name, click on it and it tells you how he was out.

Each year in the match and series archive is much more clearly laid out, with divisions for tests, ODIs etc, not just a chronological list, and the series result is shown at the side.

Still not happy with the list of players on the England page. Far too far down the page, and someone has also inexplicably placed them in order of first initial rather than surname. It took me ages to work out why I couldn't find anybody! But surely the contracted players should be shown first anyway? Yes, the quickest way to find a player is to google them but Cricinfo should at least to be getting it right.

I really really hate it, I can find any of the first class averages for last year, both for Australia and England.

It's a pity Channel 4 ditched their cricket database, it was the best of the lot. I'm moving back to Howstat.

Have you tried Cricket Archive? It's excellent for domestic cricket. The link is to England in the current year but hover over the headings to find anything you want.

I get runtime error a lot on cricinfo. I tend to use another source for scores now because of it.
