Yes I have also had the internet shutting down when going into Cricinfo.
Still don't like the new set up.

I also seem to be stuck with the mobile version of the site on my phone where previously I could choose to go to the full site.

Looks orefull, but from a quick click on one link seems it may only be the homepage that's changed

I've gone back to the BBC cricket site. It was always about a million times faster anyhow.

I don't like the new look either. But I've never liked any of the previous revamps until I got used to them. Same goes for the Guardian cricket pages.

The new look Guardian is just awful altogether - looks like its been put together by a 6 year old .

I only look at the Guardian for the cricket. It's a matter of principle never to read the rest of it, but I take your word about the overall design.

The layout I expect I'll get used to - I wish they'd stop with the huge adverts (which are seemingly impervious to Ad-Block) and the auto-playing videos. They are actively annoying.

What is also very annoying is the way the Daily Mail articles have pictures inserted between every short paragraph. It takes ages scrolling down to read a whole piece.

To be fair, that's quite a long way down the list of things that are annoying about Daily Mail articles.

For SL v India scorecard there is a black box next to every player out and if you press it first you see an ad then a replay of the wicket. Eng v Aus women scorecard don't have it. What's that all that about?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking why they only have rights to broadcast certain certain media and not others?

The black boxes next to every player that is out. Why? Haven't seen that for any other scorecard.

Click on it and watch the dismissals (subject to territorial rights).

It would be good if they showed the boundaries as well.
