I refuse to accept that topley should be near the side.

Yes - although Moeen doesn't have another over for him to spank.

Pies from our part timer.

Our bowling is so weak our batsmen need to be superheroes.

I heard that he was so much better than his rivals at bowling that it makes up for his useless batting (when his useless batting, again, is part of the reason why we have to play it safe at the start of our innings and keep wickets in hand).

We never quite recovered from the openers patting back those first two overs.

I would rather have Topley bowling than Stokes.

An interesting point, was 5-0 better than 15-1? Or 20-2?

After that 36-0 from 4 is perfectly acceptable.

No. 28 from 26 balls and 15 from 15 balls is poor and just wasting deliveries.

Surely the bowler he was most likely to hit up in the air was our leg spinner? Why on earth has he only bowled two overs? We are playing one too many bowlers.

I think the batting was pretty good in the end. Gayle has won this off his own bat.

Quite. Gayle has faced about the same number of balls and has about 100 compared to 43

Excellent point, why didn't we just pick our Chris Gayle i.e. Kevin Pietersen

It is our deliberate policy to play too many bowlers. It means we announce in advance to our own team and to the oppo that we can afford one of our bowlers to have a bad day; and then all six of our bowlers can try to make an argument that they should have been the one to bowl only one over. It also means we can't approach our batting properly because we don't have enough batsmen. It's stupid.

I see Morgan's "naïveté will win this" plan is not paying off yet. Unless this is a deliberate bluff.

Hahahaha. You do know that Gayle has scored infinitely more t20i centuries today than kp in his career? You do know that Gayle haa scored six times as many t20 tons? Laughable to compare.
