Jordan got a 5fer in a RL match the day before the selectors met. Probably better that Ball goes back to Notts and plays some cricket. He's been drink carrying for a while.

See that Sri Lanka going the old fashioned and correct way I think.

First 20 overs - 98 runs (100)
Next 20 overs - 210 runs (200)
Last 10 - 93 runs (anything from 80+)

2nd game

First 20 overs - 104
Next 20 overs - 293! (93 runs more than expected because only 1 wicket lost through a run out)
Last 10 - 84 runs, would have expected more but loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs, slower going.
Rankin career econ 4.94 went for 8.60.
Kusal Perera on his highest ODI score 134*
Finally a wicket in the 41st over... Prasanna in the nervous 90s... previous high score 42.
Perera goes on 135, should have brought the main bowlers back much earlier. 3 wickets in 5 balls.

On the same day that Sri Lanka fast bowler Shaminda Eranga was hospitalised for experiencing an elevated heartbeat, he was also suspended from bowling in international cricket for an illegal action.

Can tell from the first over that it's very flat. Interested Morgan bowled first when he told Nick Knight that his plan for the future was to bat first and play to strength.

Not sure I believe him when he said that he felt Stuat Broad wasn't in the best 15.

Broad surely is one of the best 15, not least because some of the other bowlers are far from 'proven' so at worst he's among contenders BUT with a lot more experience and proven quality (across all formats)

Maybe he was talking of current form. Still if they're going to pick Finn and then make him 2nd change bowler in ODIs I'm not sure how much faith I have in some policies/selections/opinions

Would so love to know how many more that had suspect actions in the past would be hit by the current approach.

Hair was made out to be some kind of criminal by a lot of people for his calling Murali for chucking, the fact that they relaxed the rules to 15 degrees and it was no coincidence that it reprieved Murali shows he wasn't wrong (to be suspicious even if some question how he went about it)
