I don't get why Morgan should come in earlier. His best position, and his preferred one, is 5. Bairstow and Buttler are in better form.

Yeah. And that when rash was bowling they had lost three quick wickets of course. That is to be ignored. Obviously.

You know what, it was that bad a review I'm going to call him Hayles for the rest of the series.

That'll teach him.

Don't worry, they'll all get a go this evening.

Agree. I thought Morgan was at his best when he used to bat at 6. He was an excellent finisher. Bairstow is clearly better than him.

I didn't think Root should've played this series and today is a clear example of why. Dreadful in the field and a single figure score.

Apologies for talking up Bairstow. Gone for 3.

Scratch that. We may struggle to get these, but it isn't going to be comfortable, is it.

This will teach our commentators for previewing the game with hype about England's quick scoring fearless cricket.

Burn out.

I think since October 2014 he's had one month (September last year) where he hasn't played international cricket.

Bairstow will go the same way next summer.

What's the overall points score for this series? Can Sri Lanka still win it?

"No need to panic: this is still winnable" says James Taylor on TMS. Every single player in this team is a match winner. So that's OK then.

Probably the longest batting lineup I've seen

I don't think Taylor is a particularly good commentator but he has a point as panicking isn't going to get us anywhere and there is still enough batting there to win this game if the rest play well.

It's looking a lot better now. The way wickets were falling it could all have been over very quickly. England also helped by Mathews being off the field.
