I see Mark Footitt is bowling for the seconds again.

Are we actually going to see him and Fletcher turn out for Notts next season?

A radical idea, to which the answer is almost certainly no.

Harris is going, and I can see Ealham playing much less next year. But we'll still have Patto, Shreck and I think Adams is contracted for next season too. Plus the mighty Franks. My guess is Franks will cover for Ealham (cos he's nominally an all-rounder) and Footitt and Fletcher will leave in disgust.

So, just as I'd feared, 'younger bowlers' actually means Paul Franks?

I think its time pen was put to paper over our youth policy and Franks should this prove to be the case. Its time Notts started to be accountable to the fans

So the Notts collapse has started rather later than expected but it appears we must have one each innings

plus it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Kent could lose to Lancs which puts them out of the race! Now that would be funny

I think Surrey have used 4 wicketkeepers this innings - Batty, Newman, Euston, Wilson. That must be very unusual.

Indeed. I just noticed something.

Incredibly 19% of Lancs runs in the games were extras. That is 76 out of 395. That is just mindblowingly bad!

That's us stuffed then. Every competition in which we've been favourites this season we've messed up.
