Should be a good contest for the early riders before the SA v England T20 in the afternoon.

Seems like how India usually tour Australia - misfields, dropped catches and generally listless. I hope it will only get better going forward.

I read that 6 of the last 7 ODI's here had been won by the team batting first, think we can probably call it 7 out of 8 now.

Having said that, Starc bowls some pure filth in the first over in the reply to go for 20 (wides and no balls). Add in some poor fielding in the second and it's already 32-0 after 2 overs!!

Game on...

Very much a proper retro attempt at the ‘92 World Cup. England’s was not quite so much.

Bit of a mountain to climb for India now. Required rate is ok but too many wickets fallen already.

That would really affect his chances of getting selected on to the test squad.

In the end, India gave way too many runs and then lost too many wickets too early. Dhawan and Pandya managed to reduce the margin, but there was no doubt of who the winner was going to be, especially after the early strikes by Australia.

It was somewhat concerning the impact of the short ball. Kohli was effectively out twice to one given the life he got from Zampa.

Mark Waugh is so dumb he makes Warne sound smart. Quite an achievement. If you're going to just hire ex-players at least hire some that care about following the game beyond their own careers.

India need something dramatic from Kohli here to even get close you'd think. Been extremely poor with the ball & in the field.

Enjoying the battle between bat & ball in this series so far.

After 1 & a half matches we have,
18 Wkts for 1071 runs in 150 overs @7.14 per over.
Wickets taken at an average of 59.5 per wicket.

Really glad the pitches are conducive to strokeplay, couldn't have a greentop now, could we.
I'm just in a cranky mood, 4's & 6's off nearly every second ball doesn't entertain me that much.
Glad I'm not a bowler.

You are cranky, this is good entertainment. I think flatter wickets do make for a better spectacle in limited overs cricket, and the power stroke play through the entire innings that we get now is preferable to the painful middle overs accumulation that used to be the norm. I just hope that isn't the case during the test series.

Warner injured, groin apparently, gone for a scan. Looked to be in a lot of discomfort.
