Random T20 series thread
There's going to be a lot of T20 matches ahead of the WC next year, so one thread to try and catch them all.
There's a 5 team tournament going on in Oman currently, v featuring Ireland, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Nepal and the hosts. Oman on top currently after an early victory against the declining Irish.

Sri Lanka have hammered Pakistan 3-0 in a series played in Pakistan. Good to see cricket return there, but the home fans must be frustrated with their side returning to the Hyde version.

It's now the World T20 qualifiers, starting with two groups of 7. Ireland, Scotland and Jersey all involved.

Papua thrash Bermuda by ten wickets, using 9 bowlers in the process, which seems a bit odd.

Strange that Sky put on a T20 qualifier between Jersey and Nigeria on a Saturday but show so little FC county cricket.

I assume it all comes as a bundle with the rights for World Cups, whereas it's probably quite costly for Sky to cover a county championship match. At least it's live cricket for their cricket channel, which barely seems to show any actual live cricket.

Not sure how much it would really cost to cover a CC match, commentator and cameraman costs would be about it (for the major grounds anyway) as everything else is in place and they have all the rights, £30k or so at a guess for 4 days. |

Wickets tumbling at the end but Ireland should have enough runs to win this.

I'm fascinated about cricket in some of these nations, especially Nigeria. I had no idea they played there but apparently they were part of a West African team for decades.

Look up the Kigali Cricket Ground in Rwanda, one of the most beautiful settings for a cricket ground!

Another embarrassing defeat for Ireland as the hosts hammer them today.

Even with such a low total to defend, Ireland should have been able to win that game. They should still qualify though.

Just the eight bowlers used by PNG today as they canter to another victory, while Singapore recover from a poor start to their innings to chase down Bermuda's total. These two sides could be dark horses for qualification
