After comprehensively outplaying Pakistan I wonder whether Australia will give some of the other squad members a go in the last match of the series. Cullen Bailey could come in for White (or Dan Cullen) and they may give Luke Butterworth a run (possibly for Hopes). Gillespie might get a run too.

For Pakistan, I wonder whether Sami might be fit enough to boost their ailing seam attack.

And then the 36yo had to sit through a disciplinary meeting and explain his actions to his 24 & 27yo captain and vice captain.

But I doubt this could seriously harm his selection chances for Australia.

That county stint really seems to have helped!

Meanwhile Jaques makes another century, Mohammad Sami going at > 6 per over.

Worcestershire must be spewing

Track doesn't appear to be spinning too much so Pakistan may be able to bat out the final day for a draw.

Jaques is streaking ahead of Rogers in the battle to partner Hayden in Australia's next test series. I can't see how the selectors can possibly ignore Jaques when he's in this sort of form.

Anyway, I can't believe Bollinger has done so much damage. How embarrassing for Pakistan A.

Yes, looks like Jaques will cop the first berth against Sri Lanka. Remains to be seen if he can hold his play though. He didn't really impress in his only test in Australia.

It was only one test, give him a series to settle. No doubt he has the class to make it at the next level though.

Will be nothing compared to what we do to "Team Australia" if they reach the final of the 20/20

With Warne retired his occasional leg-spin will be attractive from that point of view, plus I get the impression that they are looking for someone to bowl some more overs as a 5th bowler, so he'd improve the balance of the side. Add in him getting the Victoria captaincy so young, some influential people must rate his temperament and cricket brain.
I may be a little behind the times on White but he's not a good enough bowler to provide much more than change bowling at test level, is he? Part time leg spinners are more trouble than they're worth a lot of the time and his bowling is not much more than part time. He's a useful enough batsman but unless his bowling really offers something important to the side, he's nowhere near selection on that basis.
