Lol, love it.

For me this heated rivalry dates back to the Winter of 74 when as an 8 month old baby I was happily sitting in my push chair on a visit to Bristol, Gloucestershire upon which I got given the bird from another baby passing me.

From that day onward I swore revenge on Gloucester and Bristol as a City in general.

On the eve of every cricket match between Notts and the sworn enemy i sacrifice a chicken in remembrance to that day.

The ********, I hope they burn.

I'm already resigned to us getting absolutely battered in this game. Two sub-100 scores for sure. Must be one of the worst batting lineups in division 1 history.

(See what I'm doing here?)

Looking at the weather now and the forecast and the side we are likely to put out, I reckon that we need to bowl first. If we bat, we are bu88ered.

We have chosen to field. If we are batting by tea we may have a chance in this one.

We will be lucky to be batting by tea tomorrow at this rate.

From this team Voges, Mullaney and Read are the only players worthy of being considered batsmen in first class cricket at the moment. None of them are in notably good form and Mullah is a place too high at 5. Although that is slightly compensated for by having Super Franks at 9, the fact remains this is a truly woeful batting lineups: it makes other ones sent out in the past 3 seasons look relatively excellent which is saying something.

This is quiet. I was expecting some good rants. Zyds would love the father and sons team we have out

I left about 2.30pm when they went off for rain for the second time. All I can say was until then our bowling looked quite ordinary. Have an awful feeling that we will be watching Bell and Yousuf go on their merry way tomorrow and score centuries!

I understand that the weather forecast for tomorrow is the same as today, so maybe we will get away with a draw if we lose enough time during the next three days!

Disappointed that the TBI wasn't open today (opens next Tuesday) so that I could drown my sorrows over a steak lunch.

after watching Adam Gilchrist last night now there's one 39 year old i would not mind - Chris Gayle as been out of this world but gilchrist last night **** me

for those who dont watch IPL - kings punjab 30 -1 after 6.3 overs the next 13.3 overs = 203 runs Gilchrist 100+ of about 30 odd balls

203 runs off 13.3 overs i think it was aworld record 2nd wicket stand for 20/20 -- the huss came in faced 1 ball got a bye but he did take a couple of quality catchers

I wonder if our England duo could trouble themselves with a few wickets this morning. Although I'd prefer rain even more.
