Good to see Northants recording good profit figures for the last year. Seems like they are in a secure financial position now, which seemed unlikely a few years ago.

The article I looked at got revenue and profit confused. Still, at least the loss is half of what it was last year.

Former Northuberland bowler Gareth Wade, who apparently signed a year's contract in the winter, and Miles Richardson, who played regularly for the 2s last season, have made their debuts for Northants today, continuing the club's policy of picking up slightly older talent whose chance may have otherwise passed by.

It certainly looks as if they are very decently stocked on the bowling front.

Northants have landed what for them must be something of a coup by signing Brett Hutton from Notts on a three-year deal.

Not at all a player who has been out in the cold like some of their other signings, but a Championship regular for Notts with a very decent bowling record.

Yet another smart piece of work by Ripley & co.
