I park at work for free. I have a key so i can get into the car park should i go to any weekend games. My office is just along that footpath by the next bridge so it is dead handy for the cricket.

I was a bit squiffy at the end, you'll get used to that if you see me again!!!! Flask of tea in the morning.....wine in the afternoon. Bit squiffy now actually, have just had champers to celebrate me and chaps wedding anniversary and then he is off to Spain, so am getting it in quick!

He said to say hi to you too......and he was glad to meet you.

I had a lovely day, enjoyed it so so so much, and am hoping to go alot more soon. Fingers crossed.

Were you wearing a grey suit on Tuesday? A bloke matching the description above walked past me, but I didn't dare say anything! Could you imagine me asking a random, ''Hello there, are you Bison by any chance?''...

Plus, you know what I look like, you could've approached me!

Essex news...they were beaten by Worcs on both Thursday and Friday.

I said the same to Bison yesterday.....I thought it was him, but didn't like to ask in case it wasn't and it sounded wierd saying...'are you Bison?' in case it wasn't as I had only seen one small photo, and there was another guy who looked a bit similar a way away from me.

Luckily Bison spotted me so he said hi to me instead! It was lovely to meet him, and maybe one day all 3 of us will meet together!!! I didn't know for sure I was going until the morning yesterday, dead glad I did though.

No you didn't! We're still here.

Just trying to forget about the three Essex losses; it's funny how Cooky goes off to be Captain Cook of the MCC and Essex start losing...

Hi you!

I'm aiming to become a member, I love it so much.

But Essex weren't so bad on Friday, they tried awfully hard.

Hope we meet one day!

We want to become members too! I like sitting on those benches, even though it makes your bum sore. Should really take a cushion like the regulars do!

Essex always try hard, I've sort of become very protective over all the lads now!

Of course we'll meet. How many games are there between now and September?!

Ha ha...the cushions...we took some on Friday! But I refused to use one as I was thinking of my street cred. But my chap did!!!

I worked out (I am probably wrong) 43 days included in the membership between now and September (and then extras for the other matches)...and you know? It makes me so happy, I think it is worth it.

I have become protective over them too...I know what you mean.

Interesting to see Essex going into the first fixture of the season in mid-April with a 3 spinner policy......

Self defence is not simply about punching someone repeatedly in the face until they're unconscious, is it?

She took all I had and then she fed me dirt.

Ronnie drops Katich first ball. We may regret that one.

I though Phillips was injured. I am fairly sure he did not play in any of the warm up games.

He was injured for all of the warm up games, yes, but has obviously recovered. Still injured are Jahid Ahmed, Darren Thomas, Andy Flower and Graham Napier.

Which is about as many specialist batsmen as we are fielding, as Irani at 4 is really an all-rounder who just can't bowl any more.

Despite having all those spin options we are still succumbing to the inevitable 7th wicket hundred+ stand.

To be fair to Irani his fc average is over 40, a lot better than many so-called specialist bats. The 3 spinner policy is odd though. I've never been to Chelmsford in April but I can't imagine a climate resembling that of Bombay or Calcutta.

Enjoyed my day so much today, my first 'proper' day of cricket, and as always, have no gripes.

Ronnie did well, as did Ali, and Danish.

I am getting the hang of this now, I have a whole checklist of stuff to take and am starting to meet the regulars.

Must remember to get a bigger factor sun cream though, I burnt again today.

There are some lovely supporters at Essex, they were dead nice to me today seeing I was on my own and rather nervous.

Lucky you, you missed me and my new posse of friends. All pensioners, all lovely, all looked after me! We wouldn't have let you get away.

Hoping to go one day next week (won't know until the morning which one mind you as my chap can never decide where he is going until he comes back from the gym, and also, it depends if I have managed to get up or not. ) so may bump into you then.

Have fun today if you go!

Oh well, we survived without being in that great a danger after conceding a huge first innings score. It could have been a lot worse.
