I've heard Northants have a promising leg spinner called Jordan Capel, do you know if it's his son?

Two fixtures at Milton Keynes though...Membership has gone up a fair bit though, but I still think I'll get it.

Second highest English runscorer in the championship last season, by the way, after Ramps.

Should be playing international cricket ahead of the likes of Bopara and Shah in my opinion.

Why ahead of Shah?

The new Northants captain is going to be Nicky Boje. I wouldn't have called that one, although it doesn't seem so surprising now I've read about it. There was no other strong candidate, and he did very well in his few games last summer.

This means Jason Brown won't be playing every game, and certainly not when Monty is available.

You can have your say with the poll on the Northants website. Currently 92% of this random sample of the population say he should play for England.

Down to 88% now. Evidently the other 12% can't bear the thought of the Northants batting without him.

Graeme White is playing over in India at the moment, and he's been working with Harbhajan's coach. Please God, he's only been learning about bowling...

Van der Wath and Hall have had their registrations refused by the ECB. This is good news for Mark Nelson, but generally a **** poor effort that counties are having their planning for the season shafted at the last minute, by the people who are supposed to be looking after the interests of the game. *****.

Boje's safe- he's already registered for the next season. The bowling has gone from looking a bit ropy to quite worrying now. I think it might be a case of "revert to plan A". We might be seeing a few bunsens at Wantage Road this season.
