The Durham boys stick together at another foreign airport. Are they looking for Davies or just the way out.

Harmison looks like he has a grin on his face as he's just been shown a picture of his local pub in Ashington.

There's a rumour were going to sign Aussie Philip Hughes during Chanderpaul's absence next season.

He's the man tipped to replace Hayden in the Aussie line up.

Sounds like an excellent idea. Get him in form and acclimatised just before the ashes. I like it.

Durham have now decided not to go for an overseas player to deputise for Chanderpaul. I feel that is a good decision.

You're Durham, you can afford that.

We've now signed David Warner for our T20 campaign.

Emirates are to be our shirt sponsors for the T20 campaign. Not sure who our main sponsor will be this year after the end of our deal with Northern Rock.

Also we have made a good start to our warm up against Worcs in SA. In a one day game we were 239 all out in 49.2 overs and bowled Worcs out for 85, the main wicket takers being Ian Blackwell & Mitch Claydon who both took 3-10.

We've beaten the students by 10 wickets with half a day to spare.

The wicket must have been pretty dire.

Update on Mark Davies' injury -

He is seeing a specialist in London to have the ankle examined. He suffers pain on landing.

Can't see him playing for a couple of weeks yet.

I see all Durham bowlers like beards or facial hair

Harmison
Plunkett
Onions
Davies (sometimes he does shave)
Turner (who has moved to Somerset)
Evans (who has moved to Middlesex)
Blackwell

The Australians Thorp and Claydon just go for highlights.

Harmy can breathe a shy of relieve as with Davies back his place must be under some threat in the Durham team.

Having watched a lot of Harmison over the last week at Hove, I think I can safely say his international carrer is (or should be) over - he was outbowled by virtually everybody on either side -yesterday all Sussex fans were saying "good - Harmisons on" which probably sums it up

Its odd that he isn't doing the business at county level. Normally he makes a good start at the beginning of the season.

Maybe his time is finally up.

What's one of those?

You have to feel for Davies. He really might have threatened to get England recognition without being a total crock.

I meant a sigh of relief. Too much marking is killing my brain...

What a day for 17-year-old Ben Stokes - gets Ramprakash out!

Geoff Cook has been giving a few lads some experience in this competition. As well as Stokes he has played Will Gidman, Lee Goddard & Luke Evans.

No place for Borthwick yet though. He turned a few heads in last year's T20.

The Riverside is turning into a very nice ground if a little chilly! It took me ages to work out that the building next to the pavilion wasn't the pavilion but was in fact a gym! One thing I did notice was that Durham has very little cover (not that OT has much either at the mo). Isn't one of the requirements from the ECB that you have to a certain % of cover.

I read on your site that they are going to be doing more redevelopment work. Will that include more covered seating in the north-east side of the ground? I'm also amazed that the ODI is sold out with those ticket prices. 75 seems very pricey to see a ODI. I paid 99 to go to 5 days of a test match against NZ last year!
