I don't think you have to worry about bowlers Onions, Davies, Killeen, Gibson and Thorp are still there.

Well I'm not exactly worried but there's certainly a big drop in quality there without Harmison and Plukett. Harmison especially is just a wild beast when let loose on the county circuit.

My non use of smileys strikes again. I didn't actually see the 7-12 at the time but I do well recall reading about it. At least 4 of the 12 runs came in an edge through the slips.

Davies fans should be pleased to note he's playing today

He's been eased back into the side to help prevent further injury.

If Warwickshire dont win the championship (and after an appaling season last year, its probably too much of a progression to do it - our position in the league was due to some get out of jail cards being played at the last minute) then I really hope Durham do. It would be such a fantastic achievement in such a small period of time with first class status !

Just got an e-mail from Durham CCC advising ECB wont allow Colly to play in the FPT match against Worcs tomorrow but he can play against Yorks on Sunday.

Why can't he play both? He's looked pretty scratchy at times in the series and could do with a nice hit to focus the mind.

Does anyone know who changed Plunkett's action. I was reading he used to have a nice side on action. Was it done at Durham or the Academy? Also how long ago was it changed?

This error made me chuckle!

Quote:
Mushtaq bowled unchanged from the Church End, pausing only for lunch, until Garry Plunkett pushed his 157th delivery tamely to short-leg to end the Durham innings.
Is Garry Plunkett the alter ego of Liam who can actually bowl at the stumps and not bowl pies?

Mentioned elsewhere - looks like Chanderpaul is coming to Durham.

I hope our opponents have the same trouble getting him out that England had.

and we at Lancs are looking at runless Laxman. I think Chanderpaul must be the best signing ever. I think he would be a better signing than Lara or Inzi.

I can see most counties having about 3 or 4 Kolpaks each in a few years.

Lets hope they can fund them then because the ECB penalise those that have them.
