I was already told by someone at the Riverside there was no way they were going to sign Cork.

Why would you? His impact could be more negative than positive.

Exactly. The person (I can't mention names for obivous reasons) basically said that we would sign Cork "over my dead body"

He had a point. Cork is over the hill in cricketing terms now. I feel he wont sign for anyone in the CC first division.

It isn't only the fact that he is over the hill which would concern me!

He was allegedly a bad influence at Derby. Not sure whether he was a problem at Lancs but I think this was a factor in Durham saying No.

I would suggest that a dressing room with Law, Cork and Flintoff would be crowded in more ways than one!

The Riverside has now seen 8 of its last 10 scheduled days wiped out completely to rain.

I think you should consider yourselves lucky that your pitch hasn't flooded like New Road has again.

What is wrong with Onions? Has Plunkett passed him in the bowling pecking order or is he injured?

2009 Membership prices have been released.

They have increased by 50 from 125 to 175!!!!

Greedy b******d's. Cashing in on their success by hitting the supporter in the pocket. I'm seriously considering cancelling mine.

That's a huge rise, especially when you consider that you don't get the T20 group games in with it and there's no certainty whatsoever as to whether the Riverside will have a Test because of the current SL/WI farce.

Apparently it was necessary in order to cover the increased catering costs after Blackwell signed
