Denly appears to have done pretty well in Sydney grade cricket this winter.

Arafat and Hall, but with the Kolpak rule, I wouldn't be surprised if more came round

10 1st grade matches - 542 runs at 45.17 for UTS Balmain.

Sounds promising.

That's a fairly decent effort in the Aussie season.

Overseas are Arafat (who'll now be here a month early) and Hall. Kolpaks are MVJ still and Ryan McLaren who's another South African - never heard of him before we signed him though.

A bit of an exodus in the seasoned reserves with Ferley, O'Brien, Stiff and Cusden all moving counties, batting looks as solid as ever, we could be a quality bowler short of that elusive title unfortunately.

Anyone know how Sam Northeast has got on in the winter?

Well hope he's brilliant in CC as well. Below is the trusty cricinfo profile and he looks fairly handy, batting and bowling averages the right side of 30 and 25 respectively. With our 6, 7, 8 and 9 being GoJo, Hall, McLaren and Arafat I fancy some big totals on the board. Still slightly worried about a lack of cutting edge with the ball against high quality batsmen though.

Does he intend to play for England?

I see Neil Dexter is back in, was he injured? Ton for him.

When does he qualify?

The attack didn't look too hot last year even with Khan. It's ridiculously lightweight this time around unless Saggers has a revival or it's so dry that Patel takes a heap.

Sometime next week I;d imagine-Nial Obrian doesnt officially play for Northans until Monday so he is playing for Ireland against us tomorrow. I'd imagine the SA WC squad would probably touch down in SA sometime this weekend and then after a de brief, they'd be free to go and hunt for glory.

Good performance by Kent with the ball this morning! Are they enforcing the follow-on?

gosh your batting line up has some depth....

Arafat, McLaren and Tredwell at 8,9 and 10. Maybe Jones should bat at ten??
