England Player Watch 2018

Hameed (batting at 3!) made 5 off 11 balls v Loughborough.

Jennings fared slightly better with 44 off 102.

England Player Watch 2018

Looks like James Vince is in a bit of a hurry - currently 63 not out off 61 balls versus Worcestershire.

Still encouraging.

Isn't there already a thread for this? Guess one of gbg's first tasks as an admim will be to merge them.

And good to see an England batsman falling to convert a 50...

For a moment I thought you were thinking about merging this thread with the PLF thread!

Woakes preparing for a summer of test cricket :

0.6 4 Woakes to Rahul, FOUR runs,
0.5 0 Woakes to Rahul, no run, shorter on off, no room, blocked to the leg side off the back foot
0.4 6 Woakes to Rahul, SIX runs, whoa! Back-to-back sixes for Rahul. Sublime timing. Veering into the pads, massive whippage of the wrists from the local boy. Picked up and launched over the square leg boundary
0.3 6 Woakes to Rahul, SIX runs, Hit flat and hard for a six! Back of a length and much wider outside off, Rahul extends his hands and scythes it up and over the covers. Dismissive. Shot of a man who's coming off a fastest fifty in the IPL

Jason Roy sees Delhi home with a high class 90 v Mumbai in the IPL. In the county championship a certain IR Bell is going well for Warwickshire v Sussex.

Should Roy also get a mention on the plf thread?

He'll no doubt give us plenty of more opportunities in ODI cricket and possibly even the county championship later this summer and indeed summer appears to be rearing its head in London!

May be wrong but on a day when 13 wickets fell at Old Trafford, nobody managed more than Livingstone’s tally of 10 runs.

but no one got Samit out, he would have seen Notts home had we needed 30

(what do you mean? Samit's not an England player? If GBG can keep Bopara going on here then we can do the same with Samit!)

Stokes' bowling has really turned to sh!t, hasn't it. He has been cannon fodder so far in the IPL. 2-0-27-0 so far today.

I'm sure someone said he'd been working with the England management on it. Explains a lot.
