I think he could be a Test batsman and has the potential of being a very good one day player if he gets fit. I would suggest he is worth getting involved with the Academy, I thought part of the original idea of the academy was to improve fitness. Unless they've told him that he won't get picked unless he gets fit and he's failed to do so. I guess that's the only thing that can explain why he's not been picked. His stats are exceptional.

Richard Halsall, Sussex's part-time fielding coach is to be appointed as England's fielding coach. I've never even heard of him. Born in Zimbabwe and was head of PE at Wellington College in Berkshire apparently
