Indeed. And what happens if they can't, I wonder? Does this thing just keep being delayed indefinitely?

I agree that Cornwall is a lovely county but it takes 6 hours to get to there and about 1 to get to Holland from EMA. I know which journey I'd rather take for 2 days away.

Agreed, it's hardly convenient. The crowds will be almost exclusively locals as I can't imagine there is a huge dutch population in Cornwall.

"Samit Patel could be the key" who for India ? lol I wait to be attacked by notts fans but I've never rated him.I'm just waiting for next years fixtures IF I can get days off work to go to them as you can book 13 months ahead where I work so I've probably no chance of going to the games I REALLY want to see like last year & the year before & ............

I hear there's a really bad strain of summer flu heading England's way next year. It can apparently put a man out of action for twelve sessions nearly a week.

It does seem a little odd that Holland may chose to play games at a place as far away from Holland as possible. Someone gave me a virtually free Rail pass in the summer , where I could go on any train by a certain company. You had to travel after 9.30 and I looked at Cornwall , but found I could only get to Penzance by 5.30 in the evening. A great place for a few days though.

And the last time I went to Holland it took at least a day , though that was by boat from Harwich

I fear you may be left disappointed.

Going to be rather narked if Holland don't actually play in Holland. I was looking forward to going over for that fixture.

In 2005 (November 12), 2006 (November 15), 2007, (November 16) 2008 (November 14) and 2010 (November 19) the fixtures were already out by now or thereabouts.

In 2009 there was a delay to December 18 due to some mucking around with the structure, and the 2011 fixtures were released on December 14 (not sure what the delay was that time) and the 2012 fixtures came out on November 29.

For 2013 they really had a completely clear road ahead, with no Olympics or other major "competing" events; the counties' fixture structure meeting done and dusted in late August (when they agreed when to start and finish the season and have the t20 cup games so not as to clash with the Champions' Trophy); t20 finals day decided; CB40 final day decided; and obviously all the international fixtures known for ages, so I am not sure what is taking them so long.

I'm sure there was a suggestion for Somerset to use Truro as an outground a few years back (apparently they have a fair number of members in Cornwall) so that sounds the most likely.

That would be my choice - stay in Penzance, take the train up to Truro for the cricket. Bliss! Hope it works out, I wanted to do Truro for the women's one-dayer last summer but the rain put me off. It would definitely be on my list for 2013. Roll on the 27th.

Chesterfield is a lovely ground. I did have a few problems with a jobsworth parking attendant once, but much better to go by train from where I live , and of course you can have a few pints.

There are so many grounds I have never been to , in particular Cheltenham , I must get there next year. Also the Varsity grounds, but they always play in the cold of April there , but I'm sure I'll get there sometime

No idea if the source is reliable, but I read that Kent's opening fixture is away at Lancashire.

It was mentioned on the Kent message board - apparently "revealed" at a dinner or something. No guarantee it's correct, though!
