England bowling in these conditions could work favourably for them. Will Archer get the new ball?

Had Buttler been dropped when he should have been and/or not recalled when he shouldn't have been, our keeper would surely have scored a fifty by now. I'm not sure Smith deserves credit just because it is conceivable that his decision could have turned out even worse than it has so far.

Buttler played very well yesterday, and obviously he couldn't have played that innings if he wasn't in the team. But this kind of gushing is desperate, and we still look set for an inadequate first-innings total.

Nice runs from Broad. His highest score since he got one in the face.

That was horrid seeing it live. Good that it is on the same ground that he is regaining his form.

If you don't get Broad out early he can still hit some crisp shots and score quickly. Very handy innings that was.

Pity he didn’t just push it around with the field spread, I bet he could have got to 80 before they did anything. But that’s not the way he rolls. Awesome stuff - England’s joint third fastest test fifty!

Trying to remember the last time we saw England’s fast bowlers in hair bands - makes me think of Dennis Lillee in his prime. Forget the Hairy Bikers, these are the Hairy Bowlers !

He does drop some easy ones to go along with his spectacular catches.

Anderson moans about the ball to the umpire then two balls later bowls a beauty to get Hope's outside edge.

West Indies always seem reticent to use their batting reviews.
