I think we can all agree that moeen did brilliantly there vs the number one ranked side when we needed 17 off 11 and he hit 6,4,1 off the next 3 balls. Well done Somerset’s jos.

Undoubtedly but how well did moeen do? Great for buttler to explain it in presentation where he said moeen said he would go for the leggie. Well played.

Pleased to see that The Cricket Paper has had a go at MPV for too many stupid jokes and not understanding that TV commentary is different from radio commentary and as the viewers can see whatís happening you donít have to talk as much.

Although England are obviously a very good team in the shorter formats, it's very easy to predict where Australias short-comings are going to be in these games. They're in need of radical over-haul of the batting lineup, which should have begun the day after they lost the semi-final last year, but with two 2020 world cups coming up back2back and potentially limited Cricket up until then they've left themselves with no option now other than stay the course. At best they can tweak it and hope for a purple patch at the right time. They must at least give Phillipe the gloves, one of the most dynamic t-20 bats in Australia, either bat Stoinis at the top of the order or move on from him completely and decide whether they even need a pointless fast bowling all-rounder or just to play an extra batsman. As it is we're just in no mans land.

I find it surprising there is no Chris Lynn in the T20 squad. Did he pick up an injury or something?

His form has fallen away quite a bit as injuries have mounted. He is still unable to throw properly making him a liability in the field too.

He has been playing in the CPL, he must have just not been selected. I'm not sure he is actually good enough for the step up to international level, a bit like Luke Wright.

You're a batsman short (as are England but at least Stokes will come back in when available), do you really two front line spinners plus all the part time options in England? Dropping a specialist bowler (who that is depends on conditions) for a specialist bat would make the lineup much more balanced.

You're using part timers for 3 or 4 overs anyway although none from Stoinis which is a bit strange.

I had the misfortune of seeing a Lynn innings in the Caribbean League last week, 34 from 46 balls whilst chasing 175 where the standard of bowling is not especially high. It was so bad you half wondered if he was on a bookmaker's payroll.

It's blatantly obvious he's not a middle order player. Billings deserves a run in the 3rd game. Either drop Bairstow and open with Banton, or drop Banton and swap in Billings.
