All this faffing about with Rizwan in pain. Why are England still out there? Declare now FFS.

You do have to wonder why fans always urge their team to declare and the team is always determined to frustrate the fans as long as possible.

Oh deary me. I gave Pakistan a soft pass from their shellacking in Australia because it can be difficult for subcontinental sides to come to grips with the fast bouncy wickets, especially against an attack as good as ours in home environment, but they look truly substandard, akin to Bangladesh or Zimbabwe bar a few decent bats. Take Yasir out, and I can't think of a worse Pakistani bowling attack they've fielded? They've got no business playing someone as green and quite off the mark as an international bowler as Naseem across all three test. It really is poor management. I can't imagine this is the best they have to offer?

Staying out could have effectively got us 4 wickets with broken hands though!

This makes no sense.

551 on the board and just the tail left. Declare.

At times like this the only sensible people are the ones with no input in the match.

What is going through Root’s head?

The score of 569/7 is impressive but for people not really interested in cricket the situation must look farcical.

No doubt if a wicket falls Jofra will want a bat as well.

That is a shocker from Illingworth, there's a gaping chasm in quality with these two umpires.

Jimmy rolling back the years there with a devastating opening spell. Does anyone know why they all just wandered off when Babar was out!?

Presumably they’d reached the close of play time, or would have by the time the next batsman came out?

Well done Anderson, 3 quick wickets taking him up to 596 in total.

The wicket fell at 19:28. Surely they should only walk off if the wicket falls after the scheduled close (19:30 in this instance)?
