Is it weird that at least 1, probably 2 and posssibly 3 players could play in tonightís game, knowing they have already been dropped for the next series irrespective of how they perform?

Not really. They were only picked because so many were tied up in the Test Bubble. Even more so for ODI's where Archer/Wood/Buttler/Stokes/Root/Woakes would all be added.

Glorious sunshine at OT. England won the toss and are bowling first. Team unchanged.

Although he was clean bowled Fakhar was so surprised he was thinking of reviewing it.

I kept with the BBC because no ads and no need for rewind.

Lewis Gregory is the 2020 version of the 2014 Tim Bresnan without the extra girth.

I’ve deleted one of my posts above in case some woke poster accuses me of racism. (Although I believe most of us are sensible people).

Unlucky not to get a wicket then when billings fielded like an under 11 scared by a high ball so pretend to misjudge!

Is being woke a bad thing? I never quite understand.

Definition in OED.

ďAlert to injustice in society, especially racism.Ē

What part of that is something to be viewed as a bad trait?

When itís taken to extremes and offence is taken when none is intended. When the woke section of our society are intent on rewriting our history to expunge everything in our past that just might give offence today.

I didnít intend to start a row. This is a match thread.

They did before DRS!

Good stuff from Jordan though.

Less so from Gregory. Bowl straight and full please.
