Will be hoping for Scarborough instead.
Do try and get to Southport. I went to the game against Worcester a month ago. Great crowd ,crammed in a bit. Trains run close to the edge. Nice pavilion, i went as neutral ( Kent Member ). It was packed during the game and they were strict on Lancashire Worcester and Southport members only but after the game I went in for a couple of pints. Hope they carry on playing there, old school feel about the place plenty of local youngsters helping out and watching. I got the feeling a lot of Lancashire members and supporters would rather watch at out grounds than the soul less Old Trafford. Check out The SPIN magazine. Or look for it on Twitter

Sure Burns and Pope have scored runs. But free run scoring has happened before. Last year Surrey had 47 batting bonus points no-one else had 30. Could they not finish off sides in 2017? The difference being?
The difference I think being that the ball has seemed to do a lot more this year. Whether that's overhead conditions or changes to the manufacturing of the ball wickets have been far easier to come by this last season that for many a year.

Obviously having Morkel helps as well.

They say a new edition of Spin will be out at the start of next season. There was a bit of a falling out around the weekend of 20 / 20 finals day. Have a look on Twitter, it's quite amusing

Put another way -would you swap Stewart / Di Venuto / Solanki for Allott / Chapple / Chilton?

Would you blink Allott or Chapple became involved with the England Team coaching set up as DoC or Head Coach rather than Stewart or Di Venuto?

That said, Allott has come into a lot of criticism this year, but at least he is overseeing and clearing the way for the next generation of age group potential.

I don't really know enough about the respective managements' capabilities (not being a Surrey fan)...or really what they all do individually, to be honest.

Neither do I. But they are Director of Cricket, Head Coach and Deputy/Assistant Head Coach respectively. Roles no doubt change from club to club.

It was just a thought put in my mind. Someone elsewhere was suggesting Surrey might have been relegated with a swap of the coaching team!!
