Apparently Ronchi is also a Kiwi, being born in NZ. If I was the NZ selectors I would be doing everything in my power to sign him up for the Black Caps straight away.
He might think about moving to NZ if he gets the same treatment as the holder of the fastest 100 in Aus domestic cricket did.

Well SA were actually in with a chance for a millisecond there when we had NSW 3/13, but couldn’t keep up the momentum against the strongest middle order in the country. Would have been nice to have had Tait in the side to test them out a bit.

Of course if we could get our number of catches dropped per match down to two instead of four or five we may get even closer to a win.

Our main problem though was our insipid batting, particularly in the first innings. I know having our two best batsmen out at the last minute must have been an inconvenience, and that the NSW seam line up is pretty formidable (Bracken, Bollinger and Nicholson have taken 31 wickets at 17.7 so far this season), but there’s no excuse for being 8/120.

Interesting round of the Pura Cup coming up, each game overlaps the other with the Vics heading to the GABBA to get the Bulls back into form that one starts Sunday, the following Tuesday the Blues face the struggling Tigers in a final rematch and the Warriors have been blessed with the Bye and will have a training run on the Adelaide Oval Friday week

Next match is the high flying Warriors tackling the retirement home XI at the WACA on Wednesday, should pick up the DBP with another DBP game the following Wednesday they will go miles in front on the table, although will have played 3 more games than some by then

Love had a stinker of a match.

Pull what out of the bag? That was an expected result with QLDs lack of bowling options and **** batting lineup

With Edmondson missing, WA only had the one decent bowler in Magoffin whereas Qld have the might of Noffke and Bichel. In hindsight, Qld probably went into battle a batsman light though. Maybe Buchanon was injured.

Some funny scores about, Victoria beating Tasmania, what's that all about?

The better side won all 3 matches, it was a funny round, the top 3 sides all battled the bottom 3, wouldnt expect it to change over the season, cant see any of Tassie, QLD or SA challenging

Once again the imports come to the rescue for the Vics.

Queensland comprehensively slaughter WA in the Ford Ranger today. I doubt them Perth boys will ever recover from this.

I think our import Tasmanian batsman made as many runs for the match as Tasmanians import Victorian batsman, we would happily make a swap, but of course then Wade would return to 3rd stringer and they would keep playing more hacks

Six more wickets for Noffke against Victoria today - an inspired season so far for him (his fourth five-wicket haul in five games). His brief spell at Gloucestershire last summer clearly inspired him

Fourth-ball duck for Shane Watson on his return from injury.

Anyone else find the thought of someone scoring 11 sixes a bit obscene? As much as I love cricket nowadays, I find the number of sixes and thickness of bats slightly worrying. I don't want to do an injustice to the quality of attacking batsmanship nowadays but it's a big question mark for me

I must admit, Watto exceeded my expectations by survivng 3 balls longer than I expected

Surely not even Victoria would consider a guy averaging 18 for the last two seasons to be their number 1 batsman? Then again, just saw the QLD v VIC scorecard...

You are South Australia, yeah 18 is good

But with his dominant one day form over the past 2 years he is easily your best batsman, only one other than Lehmann to dominate in atleast 1 form of the game
