Another one-day win for WA puts them top of the table with three wins out of three. Langer with a century and Hogg with 4 more wickets.

Yes another good win for WA over the hapless Vics. (C5 seems to have gone a bit quiet all of a sudden)

Always helps though when WA gets the likes of Gilchrist,Hussey & Hogg coming back into their team. All fairly handy players to have in your one day team you would have to say. Whilst the Vics only got back Hodge, which is probably more of a disadvantage at the moment anyway.

I've gone quiet???

Another slow start for the season for the Vics, often lose the first game, got to rebound next week against the struggling Tigers to try and get our first win

Any news on the injured WA duo of Marcus North and Ben Edmondson?

Congratulations to Nathan Adcock and the Redbacks on reaching a new low today by handing Tassie 6 points in a game that should have been a draw

Looks like a reasonable declaration, but that's assuming a reasonable bowling attack could defend it. Dizzy and Tait have shocking figures

PS. At best it's a 66% winning record as captain C5, not 100%

Dizzy and Tait always have shocking figures

They didnt bat for a declaration, they obviously decided on a time frame and they blocked out the first 20 odd overs of today, should have gone for 400 in 2 sessions, the opposition did have the no1 batsman in the world in their side

As for the sig, hasnt been updated in a while

Was it only updated after his first game as captain? That's the only time when it was in any way applicable.

I see your point about SA's run rate, though was it possible for them to up it? Cosgrove's been scraping around for runs, Delmont's on debut; then it's just the keeper and the bowlers.

Yep

But they never increased it, not even when they were nearing the declaration point, with Dizzy to come they had the ability to hold up an end if it all went wrong but look at how easy the Tasmanians batted, it shouldnt have been that hard, besides fatty is more of a one day batsman anyway, should be able to hit boundaries, which is really all they needed, 1 boundary an over all morning

C'mon Rey - you're not getting sucked in to C5's propaganda are you? We were only one win away from getting into the final last season. It's the four-day game where we suck.

Damn it, why the hell couldnt you have won 1 more game? I never realised you were so close, 1 game from the final, which means we were 1 SA win from the title

On to this weeks matches, NSW send their weakest side ever to Adelaide to meet the might of the redbacks, a draw might be favourite here as neither side has any bowlers but both have a couple of decent batsmen (Boof, Elliott v Katich, Haddin)

WA should smash the retirement home XI who have increased their average age by 10 years this week with the additions of Bichel, Kasper and Love to the side that has struggled to take wickets all year and is lingering near the bottom

Whilst the 2 sides who have performened terribly in their only match so far whilst benefiting from the 6 points for the bye to atleast sit equal 2nd do battle at the MCG, no Ponting this year to gift Hodgey a ton with his **** captaincy or White an easy wicket, should be the match of the round

At the half way mark of round 3

Tasmania and QLD went head to head on opposite sides of the country to see who could put together the slowest, most boring innings, I think Tassie snuck over the line as both struggled to 200 on the first day and struggled to 220-230 on day 2, both lost 1st innings points comfortably with the Vics 5 wickets in hand and WA 7 wickets in hand and looking to build on their leads tomorrow having made their opponents totals in half the time

NSW had an average training run making just 300 with no opposition, bowlers have failed to fire so far in the 2nd innings

Luke Pomserbach continues to look the business but even his 176 from 207 balls ended up being overshadowed by wicket keeper Luke Ronchi's 105 from 54 balls.

He scored 78 runs from 19 balls to reach his ton.

Ouch.

WA absolutely destroyed QLD today at the WACA making 5/565. Pomersbach,Marsh & Ronchi all making hundreds. Luke Ronchi actually made the second fastest hundred in Aus domestic cricket history, making 105 off just 51 balls with 11 sixes & 6 fours. He made the second fifty in just 11 balls.

Apparently Ronchi is also a Kiwi, being born in NZ. If I was the NZ selectors I would be doing everything in my power to sign him up for the Black Caps straight away.

You beat me to it, even though we did provide a slightly different statistical analysis. Whichever way you look at it, Ronchi's innings was pretty impressive though.

In amongst the carnage James Hopes had impressive figures. Ronchi certainly seems to have a history of quick scoring over the past few seasons but this innings sounds particularly special.

Tassie continue to return their true potential rather than the abberation last season by crashing to an innings defeat at the hands of Victoria

Denton ripping them apart with 6/32 just 1 run off his best figures of 6/31

NSW and WA also cruising to outright victories
