Does Craig Overton qualify?
Lawrence is averaging 43 in Div1, Clarke 46 in Div2. Last edited by Slater : 19th September 2017 at 12:37. |

Porter just misses out due to age, so other than that Archer, having said that he isn't a qualified "English" player yet.
Other than that, difficult picking out anyone that truly stands out for me who hasnt already stood out.

How young do you have to be?
Alex Davies (23 last month) has scored 942 first class runs this season inc 3 centuries, opening in the first division, averages >40 and has 40+ catches and 6 stumpings. |

Who will be the 2018 Cricket Writers' Young Cricketer of the Year? Lees and Lawrence are the only two who haven't played for England.
Ed Barnard (22) S Curran (20) Pope (20) |

Curran for me but Pope may get it although that would be an ecumenical matter.

Who's Ed Bernard. Can't find him on Cricinfo though there's a Hugh Bernard about the right age.

![]() I thought I had spelt it wrongly. For someone so young he is good, excellent fielder. He did get into one of the Lions squads http://www.wccc.co.uk/news/county-al...or-tri-series/ Picked up 4 awards at Worcs Awards evening, one of the Fielder of the Year. ![]() |
